PART I – Python Workshop

An introductory workshop to Python, an essential tool used by MISA students and professionals. Using a simulation problem, this workshop gives new MISA students an opportunity to see how their studies apply to real businesses. Presented by recent Computer Science and Mathematics graduate, Colleen Maquiling.

PART II – Speaker Panel
November 9, 2017 | 7:00-9:00 p.m. | DMS 4101
This speaker panel event is intended to teach Telfer students about the MIS industry and why it is essential in the day-to-day operations of organizations. In addition to a moderator discussing issues with the panelists, audience members will also have the chance to ask questions. Discussion and question topics include the importance of MIS and its applications to key business components (i.e. accounting, human resources, marketing, etc.), as well as guidance on dismantling the many misconceptions related to the field. Professionals from Gnowit, Invest Ottawa, KPMG, and RCGT will be in attendance.
